Dell Children's Medical Center of Central Texas (DCMCCT) Bed Tower 3 is a state-of-the-art healthcare facility. The project is an 83,000 sq. ft. 3-story addition to the existing facility. The project scope includes a new 72-bed patient tower with support space. Also included is a 6,500 sq. ft. mechanical penthouse at the roof. In June 2013, Dell Children's Medical Center of Central Texas Bed Tower 3 was awarded the first LEED for Healthcare Platinum Certified project in the world. The project also includes a 5 Star Austin Energy Green Building Rating including a 36 KW PV (photovoltaic) array and solar hot water system installed on the roof.
