An addition to Lavaca Medical Center creates a new wellness center including a 26-foot by 40-foot in-ground therapy pool, 2,600 square foot rehab gym and a 1,600 square foot rehab treatment area with private treatment cubicles and whirlpool room. The therapy pool is designed with non-chlorine, saline water purification system for skin therapy. The wellness center is designed for outpatient treatments as well as in-patient care from the adjoining hospital with views to a new healing garden courtyard. Also included in the scope is a new food court dining area with a new kitchen facility to replace a 30-year-old, aging facility.
